Fraud Alert 

We have recently become aware of fraudulent calls made to credit union members from a company posing as Tampa Bay Federal Fraud Department. If Tampa Bay Federal Fraud Department does legitimately attempt to reach you, this is what you can expect: 

• Tampa Bay Federal Fraud Department calls will come from this number: 1(877)253-8964
• Legitimate calls will come from an IVR (interactive voice response) - not a live person. The IVR will ask the member to verify the questionable transactions and only if the member did not do the transactions would they be transferred to a live person.
• If the member is enrolled to receive text alerts, they will be sent a text prior to a call from the IVR.
• During a legitimate call the member would never be asked for their entire card number and/or PIN. The PIN is not stored anywhere so there would be no reason to ask for it.
